"The onboard ATP system, which functions as the 'brain' of train operations, ensures that the train does not exceed permitted speeds even under adverse conditions such as strong winds, heavy snow or dense fog, making it a key system for safeguarding operational safety in extremely cold regions," according to Gao Bo, deputy director of Chaoyang EMU Depot.
