Adjust font size:

Casualties from a crane accident at a power station building site in southwest China's Yunnan Province rose to 13 on Tuesday, according to local government sources.

The crane collapsed at Tiansheng Bridge Hydropower Plant, under construction, on Monday afternoon, killing 10 people on the spot and leaving another five seriously injured.

The government of Funing County, in Wenshan Zhuang and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, confirmed the three additional deaths to Xinhua News Agency yesterday.

Funing's government sent 60 officials to deal with the ongoing investigation into the accident's cause and compensation claims.
