Adjust font size:

The Macao police have launched a crackdown on "an unlicensed inn" and nabbed 39 guests for questioning, local media reported Friday.

The Macao Post Daily quoted police sources as saying that the swoop, conducted on Thursday, was part of the authorities' ongoing campaign against unlicensed inns in the Outer Harbor Land Reclamation Zone.

The police searched 14 flats of the building and took 39 guests for questioning but no formal arrest was made, the sources were cited as saying.
