This famille rose bowl above, painted with peonies, chrysanthemums and rocks, sold for 1,771,000 RMB at the China Guardian 2001 Autumn Auctions. Famille rose wares were first made in the late Kangxi period, and reached their highest level during the Yongzheng period. Figures of flowers and butterflies were mostly found on pieces.
