"Every time I lived with those Mongolian herdsmen, they provided us with free food and accommodation. The more food you were given, the happier they felt, as they considered it a kind of acceptance. In their minds, all visitors from afar are guests," Li recalled. "While they repeated their monotonous grassland life every day, they still seemed happy and satisfied. Their broad and optimistic mindset was Just like the Inner Mongolia's grassy horizon. I suppose that's where the greatness of this minority lies. "

Use of traditional art form to retrieve memories

Li Bo's works are highly textured in style, which was inspired by the traditional Chinese fresco. Each work went through a time-consuming and layer-on-layer painting process, highlighting a sense of history.
