Another two fugitives were arrested at Hong Kong singer-songwriter Jacky Cheung's concert in Jinhua, Zhejiang province on Saturday, the local police said.

Before the concert, a 49-year-old fugitive suspected of robbery was arrested by the police when he was trying to sell concert tickets. According to the Jinhua police, the suspect was there either as a scalper or a fan of Cheung.

Another fugitive, wanted by Fujian police, who is suspected of forging government documents, was also nabbed before the concert. The police told local news website Jinhua News that this fugitive was actually not attending the concert, "but due to the concert, we deployed more police at several public venues, so that helped locate and arrest him. So, thanks to Cheung anyway."

The two's arrests made the total number of fugitives caught at the singer's concerts reach five, making him somewhat of a fugitives' Pied Piper.

On April 7, a financial crime suspect was arrested at Cheung's concert in Nanchang, Jiangxi province when police identified him by using facial recognition cameras. On May 5, when Cheung held a concert in Ganzhou, Jiangxi province, another fugitive was netted. Later,on May 20, another arrest was made at his concert in Jiaxing, Zhejiang province, thanks to AI facial recognition technology.

The apparent coincidences have resulted in Chinese internet users and Cheung's fans jokingly labelling him as the "enemy of fugitives" and a "plain clothed police in showbiz."

Among the captured fugitives, only two were actually attending Cheung's concerts. The first suspect arrested in Nanchang saw part of the concert before he was taken away by the police. The most "fortunate" fugitive was the one arrested in Jiaxing, who had managed to watch the full concert.

Even Police in Luoyang city, Henan province, are joking on their Weibo account that they are "ready" for the arrival of fugitives at Jacky Cheung's concert to be held in July.

Pop megastar Cheung, 56, who has sold tens of millions of records in the Chinese world and is regarded as one of the "Four Heavenly Kings" and the "God of Songs," is on his "A Classic Tour" since 2016.

Cheung had commented on the previous three arrests in May when reporters asked him about it, "if you're a thief, you will be caught even when you buy things at convenience stores, if you are not caught at my concert." But he also said to the suspects, amusingly, "thank you anyway for coming to my concert."
