Earlier this year, the Anhui Fine Arts Publishing House and the National Museum of China jointly published an album of classic calligraphic works from the latter's collection.

Thereafter, the two sides released their second and the third albums.

The albums provide a glimpse of the evolving styles of Chinese characters. And they feature works from oracle bones, bricks, pottery, coins, seals, tomb steles and paper.

The National Museum of China holds more than 40,000 objects carrying calligraphic writings.
