Paramount's action film "Mission: Impossible-Fallout" had its Chinese premiere in Beijing on Wednesday night.
Director Christopher McQuarrie and cast members Tom Cruise, Henry Cavil and Simon Pegg attended the event held at the Beijing Working People's Cultural Palace.
"Making a ‘mission impossible' is very much like watching a ‘mission impossible,'" said McQuarrie, the first director to handle two films in the franchise.
Tom Cruise described the film as "incredibly dynamic," saying Chinese audience were going to see the characters "ride motorcycles over 100 miles an hour," "drive cars over 100 miles an hour" and "skydive from 25,000 feet."
The sixth episode of the Hollywood blockbuster so far has earned roughly US$538 million in worldwide box office returns.
The film is scheduled for release in Chinese cinemas on August 31.
