An immersive musical named "Napoléon: Wild Dream Rhapsody" with a distinctive French style was recently performed in Shanghai.

Chinese and international performers played the roles of Napoléon, the eccentric scientist Dr. Wild Dream, Josephine, and others.

According to XU Ming, general director of the musical, pipa and piano, which respectively represent Asian and Western music cultures, played together in the show. Xu also specially designed an engaging interaction between China's ancient heroic figure Xiang Yu and Napoléon.

The four performances over the past month was attended by nearly 1,000 audience members from home and abroad, who stood in the midst of a Napoléon Special Exhibition with 185 rare treasures in Shanghai.

The musical is also part of the exhibition, which is the largest scale among its type introduced to China so far.

Through online live streaming, countless fans were able to enjoy the immersive musical as well.
