Art works from the collection of late English singer-songwriter George Michael are on exhibition at Christie's Shanghai Art Space for a week starting from Feb 22.

One of the best-selling recording artists in the global pop music scene, George Michael, originally named Georgios Kyriacos Panayiotou (1963-2016), owned a collection of contemporary art that included works by renowned British artists such as Damien Hirst and Tracey Emin.

More than 170 works from his private collection will be auctioned in London on Mar 14. Proceeds from the sale will be used to continue his philanthropic initiatives.
