Book being compiled to promote parent education

An initiative has been launched to pool together ideas from education experts to help parents play roles in their children's education in an efficient and scientific manner, according to the Ministry of Education.
The ministry and the China Education Association co-organized a meeting of education experts on Feb. 28 to start compiling a guide for parents to help their children's education.
Work on this book is among the ministry's key steps in 2019 to improve parent roles in child development and equip parents with appropriate educational concepts and methods, the ministry said.
The meeting adopted goals, work assignments and a schedule for the compiling job, stressing efforts to make a quality book.
The book will promote core socialist values and China's fine traditional culture, and provide specific guidance that takes into account of the features of children of different age groups and draws on expertise on parent education both at home and abroad, according to the ministry.
