Chinese museum displays artworks in Dubai

M WOODS, a contemporary art museum from Beijing, displays some significant Western and Chinese artworks at The Dubai Mall, in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates from March 12 to April 30 celebrating Dubai's art season and the spring/summer fashion season.

Nearly 40 renowned Western and Chinese contemporary artworks from M WOODS' permanent collection will be on view for the first time in the Middle East in seven specially created museum-like pavilions throughout Fashion Avenue.

Huang Xufu, co-founder of the museum, said at the opening ceremony this is the first time for M WOODS to display its collections overseas. "Dubai is a hub of contemporary culture in the Mideast, therefore, we choose here as our first station and hope the local people will enjoy our artworks."

The exhibition is presented in partnership with Dubai Tourism and Emirates NBD.

Located in Beijing's 798 Art District, M WOODS opened to the public with a permanent collection based on the founders' private collection of international art.
