The first Xiongan cultural festival will be held next month in Xiongxian, Hebei province, with participants including the Palace Museum, the National Museum, the Capital Museum, the Tianjin Museum, and the Hebei Museum.

Xiongxian is a county in the eastern part of Xiongan New Area. It is home to various historical and cultural heritage relics, including a style of martial arts called the "eagle claw." In 2007, the county was designated as the "cradle of ancient tunnels in China" for its warfare tunnels built in the Liao (907-1125) and Song (960-1279) dynasties.

Additionally, Xiongxian is home to a number of historical figures, including the earliest known Chinese physician Bian Que and Chinese general Sun Lianzhong. The county has also been a trading hub of antiques for over 500 years. With the cultural festival, organizers are hoping to showcase these cultural heritages of Xiongxian.

The festival will run from April 26 to 28, featuring exhibitions of antiques, intangible cultural heritages, and creative cultural products.
