Beijing art exhibition marks progress in Tibet

More than 70 works of fine art are currently on show through June 19 at the Cultural Palace of Nationalities in Beijing, marking the 60th anniversary of democratic reform in Tibet autonomous region.

On show are oil paintings, classic ink paintings and calligraphic works to provide various perspectives into the natural landscapes, dynamics of art and culture, and economic and social achievements in Tibet.

The exhibition, organized by the Tibet Gaoshan Cultural Development Foundation, has teamed up painters and calligraphers who have dedicated years to depicting and hailing Tibet's advancement.
