Zhang's musical inspiration came after a visit to the 18 mausoleums for Tang Dynasty (618-907) emperors in Northwest China's Shaanxi province. The ancient painting and archaeological relics gave him an in-depth understanding of traditional Chinese art and history, as well as their influence in today's world.

To amplify the celebration of infinity in Li Shurui's artwork, Zhang's composition is imbued with nuanced sentiments. The artist tends to adopt the rhythm at his fingertips and the vibration of the keys to interpret the wonders of the universe.
