A total of 70 children's films from all over the world will be screened at a children's film festival, scheduled from Nov. 14 to 18 in the southern Chinese city of Guangzhou.
At the festival, sponsored by the publicity department of the Guangzhou Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China and the China Children's Film Association, half of the films will be Chinese productions and the rest will be international ones, the organizer announced in Beijing Tuesday.
To mark the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, five to 10 Chinese children's films produced in the past seven decades will be screened, the organizer said.
The festival will also host activities such as film reviews and forums as well as a special unit for German children's movies.
Children will be selected to participate in the activities including dubbing foreign films, hosting events and choosing their favorite movies.
