The week will feature a series of events including 32 brand fashion releases, more than 20 fashion shows, five professional competitions, four fashion exhibitions, and two summit forums.

According to the organizing committee, after three years of development, this year's Beijing Fashion Week would focus more on the convergence of design and commerce as well as trends and technology.

Zhang Guilin, secretary of the Party Committee of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the Beijing Municipal People's Government, said the fashion week would help enhance the city's soft power and create a "golden name card" of the urban culture of Beijing. As an important platform for fashion release and display, Beijing Fashion Week has become an iconic event of Beijing's fashion industry.

During the fashion week, Beijing Fashion Summit Forum, Fashion Exhibition, Professional Competition, Buyers' Salon, and Fashion Party would be held to focus on brand development, new consumption patterns, and new fashion business formats. Many young Chinese fashion brands are planning to highlight Chinese history and the fashion trends through this platform, which organizers are hoping would further spread the influence of Beijing's urban fashion culture.

According to the organizing committee, Beijing Fashion Week would help build the city into the cultural center of China while promoting Beijing's fashion culture with more trendy, quality, and international content. Organizers said they hope that this unique fashion feast would showcase the charm of Beijing's fashion culture to the world.
