A seminar on fine arts was also organized on the same day in the museum.
The exhibition will last until Sept 13, and is free to visit.
The exhibition was funded by Shenzhen's special fund for the development of cultural causes, and was co-hosted by the Youth Academy of Fine Arts of the Institute of Chinese Painting as well as the Shenzhen Youth Artists Association.
The exhibition showcases over 100 pieces of works of nearly 100 artists from Shenzhen and Beijing.
Experts say these works represent the vitality and future of the arts circles in the two cities, as well as the characteristic inclusiveness of both cities.
All the works are carefully chosen from those by promising young artists, and it is hoped the exhibition can promote the development of the arts in Shenzhen.
