Chinese poets and reciters will take part in "flash mobs" at a scenic water forest in eastern China's Jiangsu Province during the weeklong National Day holiday that starts on Oct. 1.

The performances will feature poems of renowned Chinese poets from both ancient and contemporary times, such as Li Qingzhao, Lin Huiyin and Xu Zhimo via roleplaying.

"Chinese poetry has been making its way back into people's lives in recent years," said Fang Chunyang, chief producer of the performances. "Our goal is to put poems back into nature and scenes of life and boost the innovative development of fine traditional Chinese culture."

Forums on poetry and local economy, as well as wine-making activities related to the Double Ninth Festival, the seniors' day in Chinese culture, will also take place during the course of the performances.
