The Lord of the Rings director Peter Jackson's latest work will meet Chinese audiences on Nov. 11.

"They Shall Not Grow Old" is a documentary looking at the soldiers and events of World War I using restored and colorized footage from the Imperial War Museum's archives.

Most of this footage hasn't been seen before.

Ahead of its release, the film scored 8.9 on douban.com, a leading Chinese social networking website.

Peter Jackson is a big name in China. His "The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies" grossed around 120 million-US dollars in China in 2015.
