Chinese literature recitation contest held in Mongolia

The eighth edition of an annual contest to recite classical works of Chinese literature for Mongolian middle school students was held in Ulan Bator on Saturday.

More than 50 students from several Mongolian schools participated in the contest organized by the Confucius Institute at the National University of Mongolia.

The competition is aimed at contributing to the further development of cultural relations between China and Mongolia, according to the organizer.

Khandmaa Uuriintuya, a 10-grade female student of Putonghua school in Ulan Bator, won the first place in the contest.

All participants of the contest were given certificates and prizes according to their individual results.
