Entering the new millennium, the Chinese film industry - from its stars to its capital - is having an increasingly bigger say in the world's film landscape. Let's not forget that China itself has already become the world's second largest film market. More and more Chinese as well as filmmakers and actors of Chinese descent are finding success in Hollywood, such as Zhang Yimou, Ang Lee, Zhang Ziyi, Lucy Liu, Justin Lin, James Wan, Constance Wu, as well as the upcoming live-action version of Disney's "Mulan" star Liu Yifei, and "Shang-Chi" actor Liu Simu.
