"Knives Out," an American crime drama starring "James Bond" actor Daniel Craig and "Captain America" actor Chris Evans, passed the 100 million yuan (about 14.2 million U.S. dollars) mark at the Chinese mainland box office Monday.
Featuring an investigation into the death of a patriarch of an eccentric family, the film had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in September and was released in the United States on Nov. 27.
Hitting Chinese mainland theaters on Nov. 29, it has a current score of 8.3 out of 10 points on Chinese film rating site Douban.
