Beijing's CBD launched a 3-month art season on Jan. 8, aiming to cultivate an immersive artistic vibe for the professionals and companies in the district with new cultural facilities and art events.

Several 10-meter-tall modern sculptures were recently installed in the green space in the CBD Forest Park, attracting many visitors.

This public art exhibition is the prelude to the CBD art season, according to Guo Liang, deputy director of the CBD Management Committee. In the next three months, the committee will work with CBD-based commercial buildings and art institutions to introduce art exhibitions to the district, including exhibitions of paintings by Raphael in office buildings. Meanwhile, companies will hold exhibitions in institutions like the Central Academy of Fine Arts, M WOODS, UCCA Center for Contemporary Art, Zhang Daqian Contemporary Art Center, and Red Brick Art Museum.

The CBD will also witness various public art events aimed at invigorating the district. Around the Chinese Spring Festival, artists will spend two to three weeks creating a 170-square-meter mural "Immortals at Work" based on historical records and architectural features of the area. The work will become a permanent wall mural in the district.
