A cultural exhibition featuring more than 170 pieces of historical relics from the Three Kingdoms period (220-280 AD) will open at the China Millennium Monument in Beijing Thursday.

The exhibition is expected to reproduce the historical features of the Three Kingdoms period and showcase the latest findings from the archaeological research of the period. The Three Kingdoms refer to the three separate states of Wei, Shu and Wu in ancient China.

The relics have been selected from over 40 cultural heritage institutions by scholars from China and Japan during their three-year exploratory trips to more than 10 provincial-level areas in China.

The exhibition is scheduled to run until April 19, 2020.
