"Aerial China Season 3," a new sequel to the 2017 hit documentary on the country's landscape from above, "Aerial China Season 1," remains the most popular weekly Chinese-language TV series on review platform Douban.

Streamed on various platforms including TV channels CCTV-1 and CCTV-9 from May 21, the 10-episode show has topped the Douban ranking for a second consecutive week.

With unique narration and filming methods, the new production from China Media Group offers panoramic views of China's historical and cultural sights, as well as natural landscapes.

On Thursday, "Aerial China Season 3" boasted a score of 9.1 out of 10 on Douban, while the 2017 documentary and a 2019 sequel "Aerial China Season 2" scored 9.2 and 8.4 respectively.
