A concert staged deep in the Qinling Mountains, a natural boundary between China's north and south, was aired on Sunday evening.

Surrounded by trees and mist, the Xi'an Symphony Orchestra and its chorus performed Chinese melodies and Western classics, including the Czech symphonic poem "Ma Vlast, 2. Vltava," at the Niubeiliang National Forest Park in northwestern Shaanxi Province.

It was the orchestra's first of two-month performances in the Qinling Mountains and was well received on multiple platforms including Yangshipin and Bilibili.

The Qinling Mountains are known as China's gene bank of wildlife as it houses a huge variety of plants and wild animals such as giant pandas, golden monkeys and crested ibis.
