The League of China Orchestras has launched a non-profit project in Beijing to train provincial-level orchestras.
According to Zhang Guoyong, deputy head of the league, outstanding conductors will be sent to local orchestras to improve the quality of their performances and help them build a system of annual performance plans.
The league was set up in July 2019 in Hangzhou, capital of east China's Zhejiang Province, with 64 orchestras from across the country becoming the first batch of members.
