The China box office revenue of "The Sacrifice" has totaled nearly 760 million yuan (about 113 million U.S. dollars) after the war film raked in more than 19 million yuan on Tuesday.

Set during the War to Resist U.S. Aggression and Aid Korea (1950-1953), the film was released on Oct. 23, the same day that a high-profile meeting was held in Beijing to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Chinese People's Volunteers entering the Democratic People's Republic of Korea to fight in the war.

"The Sacrifice," co-directed by Guan Hu, the director of this year's blockbuster war epic "The Eight Hundred," remained Tuesday's top daily box office earner, according to figures compiled by the China Movie Data Information Network.

"My People, My Homeland," an anthological comedy depicting China's achievements in the fight against poverty, ranked second on the daily chart, grossing nearly 5.8 million yuan. Its total box office receipts have crossed 2.7 billion yuan.

Coming in third was Japanese animated film "Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna," which earned 5.5 million yuan Tuesday and saw its total box office receipts near 80 million yuan.
