A violin recital by Lyu Siqing will be staged at the National Center for the Performing Arts (NCPA) in Beijing on Nov. 13.

In memory of the 250th anniversary of the birth of composer and pianist Ludwig van Beethoven, Lyu will bring three pieces of sensuous music by the German master, including "Violin Sonata No. 3 in E-flat Major, Op. 12" and "Violin Sonata No. 5 in F Major, Op. 24."

Lyu, born in Qingdao, east China's Shandong Province in 1969, is one of the most influential contemporary Chinese violinists, and has performed in renowned concert halls in over 40 countries and regions, such as Musikverein in Vienna and Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles.

Tickets for the 90-minute concert are now available on the official website of the NCPA (www.chncpa.org).
