Egypt, Saudi Arabia signed on Tuesday a cultural agreement to hold an exhibition in the kingdom's Dhahran city.

"Egypt will display for the first time 84 pieces of Islamic artifacts in Ithra museum for two years starting from the end of November," said Mostafa Waziri, secretary-general of Egypt's Supreme Council of Antiquities (SCA).

The agreement was signed between the SCA and the Saudi ARAMCO company via a video conference meeting, the Egyptian Ministry of Antiquities and Tourism said in a statement.

Waziri said "the deal will strengthen the mutual cultural cooperation," stressing the important role that the museums could play in enriching the societies and spreading and exchanging culture.
