"HerStory" will be jointly directed by Sylvia Chang, Li Shaohong, and Joan Chen. The film will be produced by the famous female producer Jennifer Wenjie Dong. The female movie stars participating in the project include Zhou Xun, Sammi Cheng, Xu Di, Nina Paw and a special appearance of 91-year-old Zhu Yafen, teacher of world-famous pianist Lang Lang.

The male stars who will act and support the movie narrative are hugely popular and award-winning young actor and idol Jackson Yee, as well as the veteran director-and-actor Stephen Fung.

The film is in the form of an anthology consisting of three short stories set in 2020, a year hit by the global pandemic that leads to deaths, falling-apart of homes, loss of jobs, much chaos and pain and struggles. The filmmakers wanted to inspire the world by telling stories from a female perspective about the struggles of normal people, especially women, in their normal life, loves, emotions, career and families under pressures of a major crisis.

The film is expected to release next year.
