Many tear-jerking moments are captured on camera. These include a severely ill grandfather displaying his strong will to live by listening to his grandson's poetry recitation on a portable media player; an infected mother missing her infant treated in another hospital only for children; and a daughter fetching the belongings of her mother who has died of COVID-19.

You Are So Good, the film's theme song performed by singer and actress Zhou Xun, was released online on Dec 30, with the hashtag "Zhou Xun's song makes me shed tears". The song has received around 100 million hits on the popular social platform Sina Weibo.
