Editor's Note: A stage play based around love letters, a concert remembering iconic singer Leslie Cheung, and an exhibition of paintings by renowned artist Bao Jia: Here are three events you won't want to miss this week.

1,Stage play: "Love Letters"

Writing letters was once the simplest and most common way for people to communicate with one another. However, with people's fast-paced lives brought about by the information age, handwritten letters have become something of a rarity. In "Love Letters," a love spanning four decades is condensed into an hour and a half stage performance through 76 letters.

Dates: April 2-5

Venue: National Center for the Performing Arts, Beijing

2,Concert: Commemorating singer Leslie Cheung

A concert will be held to commemorate the life of late singer Leslie Cheung. Classic songs by the band Harmony will recall the old times and old memories when Cheung was with still with us.

Dates: April 1, 19:30

Venue: Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall, Guangzhou

3,Exhibition: Paintings by artist Bao Jia

This art exhibition features more than 50 standout oil paintings by artist Bao Jia. The works cover Bao's different periods, including theme creation, portrait sketching and landscape painting, fully presenting the artist's sincere artistic passion and elegant demeanor.

Bao was born in 1933. He is currently a director of the China Oil Painting Society, honorary chairman of the Anhui Artists Association, and a national first-class artist. His best-known works include "Chairman Mao in Ma'anshan Iron and Steel Plant," "Old Trees at Hometown," "Torrential Flow" and "A Thousand Miles of Desert."
