The National Center for the Performing Arts (NCPA) Taihu Performing Arts Week will raise its curtain at the NCPA Taihu Art Center on Sept. 25 and run through Oct. 6.

The annual arts week will offer citizens an audio-visual feast with seven performances covering various art forms, organizers said at a press conference on Wednesday.

On Sept. 25, the China Acrobatic Troupe will lift the curtain of the opening ceremony of the arts week with a range of acrobatic performances including ball juggling, trick cycling, and diabolo.

A jazz concert featuring 10 original songs will be staged at the Taihu Open-Air Theatre on Oct. 1, the National Day.

A series of performances with themes of the revolutionary history of the Communist Party of China will be delivered by the NCPA to draw a close for the arts week on Oct. 5 and 6.

The tickets will be sold at affordable prices between 80 yuan (US$12) to 160 yuan, allowing more people to enjoy high art in the theater.
