"Me and My Winter Games," directed by Lin Yongchang, Li Haoling, Zhuang Hao and Qu Qiang, is an episodic anthology that tells inspirational stories about the coming together of some of China's most beloved characters and the official mascots of Beijing 2022 – Bing Dwen Dwen, a cheerful cartoon panda, and Shuey Rhon Rhon, an anthropomorphized traditional Chinese lantern.

The film also marks the first time in Olympic history that mascots have starred in a movie, and is a testament to the incredible efforts of Chinese filmmakers and animators. The Beijing Organizing Committee for the 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games (BOCOG) granted animation studios the licensing rights to produce the film.

Shanghai Animation Film Studio, Fantawild Animation and Bilibili will work together to assemble a dream team of popular characters from blockbuster animated franchises such as"The Monkey King", "Calabash Brothers", "Dear Tutu", "The Black Cat Detective", "Boonie Squad", and "Non-Human". With Wonder Cat Animation at the helm, the project will feature various animated styles including 2D animation, CGI 3D animation, traditional puppetry and stop-motion animation.

"Me and My Winter Games" will open in China Jan. 15, 2022, three weeks before Beijing 2022 opens on Feb. 4.
