"Beautiful Mountain" from the book Seeking New Territory. Li Tiejun, vice president of Peking University School of Stomatology, released his art book, Seeking New Territory, recently. The book is a metaphor for Li's attempt to explore the "infinite realm" of life through microscopes that have revolutionized biology and medicine. The "landscape" the book displays comes from the images of tissues and cells of human bodies and from the unique perspective of a pathologist who often deals with "life and death" issues in his routine work, said Li. It can arouse one's philosophical thinking on the macrocosm and the microcosm within a human body, and one can be amazed at and come to understand the profound connotations of the Chinese philosophical theory that man is an integral part of nature and everything in the universe follows one rule which is letting nature take its course.
