Tibetan women in Gyaca County in Shannan make their own sunscreen before they collect caterpillar fungus in the harvest season.

The main ingredients of this kind of sunscreen are local alpine plants.

Together with honey and juice, the plants need to be boiled for four to five hours and then put into a bottle to store.

The sunscreen has a long history and can also be used as a facial beauty mask.
