Universal Pictures' science fiction action film "Jurassic World Dominion" repeated as the winner of the North American box office this weekend with a three-day estimate of 58.66 million U.S. dollars, according to studio figures collected by measurement firm Comscore.

The sequel to 2018's "Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom" and the final instalment of the Jurassic World trilogy has grossed 249.8 million dollars after 10 days in North America. The story takes place four years after Isla Nublar has been destroyed, when Dinosaurs live and hunt alongside humans all over the world.

Directed by Colin Trevorrow, who steered 2015's "Jurassic World" to a record-shattering 1.7 billion global box office, the film stars an ensemble cast including Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum, Sam Neill, DeWanda Wise and Mamoudou Athie.

Internationally, the film took in 76.1 million dollars from 72 markets this weekend for a massive global cume of 622.2 million dollars.

The film has earned over 620 million yuan (around 92.3 million dollars) in the Chinese mainland, according to the box office data compiled by Maoyan, a Chinese movie-ticketing and film data platform.
