Namibian singing group Collective Singers will embark on their journey to represent Africa at the World Choral Expo in Lisbon, Portugal from Sept. 3 to 7.

Collective Singers' public relations officer George Marenga on Wednesday confirmed that the group is prepared to make Africa proud. "We are super excited to tell the Namibian and African story in terms of the song with other choirs come September," he said.

Marenga added that the World Choral Expo also provides Collective Singers with an opportunity for career growth. "Being recognized on such a platform is no easy feat - it goes beyond our wildest dreams. The aim is to go to learn, to exchange and grow," Marenga said.

He expressed his gratitude to all who have supported the group, especially to make their journey to the expo a reality. "Your love has brought us to this point and we are grateful to represent you."

It will not be the first time that the group has toured Europe as they have also performed in Germany in the recent past.

With notable hits like "We have hope", the singers hale from various well-known Namibian choirs.
