Beijing Fashion Week 2022 raised its curtain on Thursday with the fashion show "Night of Fashion Aesthetics" staged at Wangfujing Street, an iconic commercial strip in the Chinese capital.
As part of the city's efforts to stimulate fashion retail, the fashion week aims to revitalize traditional commercial areas by introducing digital technologies and trendy brands to better serve the city's strategy for developing the fashion industry.
As a major activity of Beijing's cultural consumption season, Beijing Fashion Week 2022 has invited many domestic brands to stage fashion shows and exhibitions from Sept. 15 to 22. The shows will take place at cultural landmarks across the city, such as Wangfujing Street, Zhangjiawan Design Town, Qianmen Avenue, and Longfu Cultural Center, to showcase local designs and boost spending in the cultural sectors.
Additionally, digital fashion shows will debut at the fashion week this year, allowing audiences to enjoy virtual exhibits and digital artworks online.
