Our Ten Years, an anthology TV series to look back at China's achievements in past decade, has been translated to nine languages to run on 10 overseas platforms which cover more than 200 countries, said the drama's chief producer during a Beijing event on Tuesday.

Set between 2012 and 2022, the drama consists of 11 stories on a variety of themes like the economy, culture and ecological civilization, depicting a generation of Chinese people who strive for the better future.

Fu Binxing, the chief producer and president with Zhejiang Huace Film and TV, said the show recruited 11 production teams of more than 4,000 people, and was filmed in more than 10 provinces and cities.

Zhang Xiaodong, the project's chief designer, said the major creators have conducted a lot of interviews to seek inspirations, and endeavored to interweave the regional cultures with the plots and characters.

As one of the highest-rated tales, the first story — titled Tang Gong Ye Yan (Night Banquet in Tang Dynasty Palace) — is inspired from the namesake show performed by Zhengzhou Song and Dance Theater, a sensational hit after it was staged on the 2021 Spring Festival Gala. Interestingly, the dance show itself was inspired from a set of ancient dancing figurines unearthed in Anyang, Henan province, in 1959.

Also attending the event, Wang Lei, who recently won the best actor award of the 33rd Flying Apsaras, says he feels proud to play a police officer in Xi Xiang Ming Yue (The Moon Shines on Xixiang). "As an actor, I believe it is our responsibility to convey the voice of this era through our characters," said Wang.
