The China National Arts and Crafts Museum, also known as the China Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum, reopened to the public Sunday.
Four exhibitions are underway at the museum, including an exhibition of public art, an exhibition of shadow play artworks from Shaanxi, an exhibition of Jingdezhen pottery using the firewood kiln method, and an exhibition of ancestor portraits from the Ming and Qing dynasties.
Visitors can also enjoy a variety of intangible cultural heritage performances at the museum.
According to the museum's deputy director, Su Dan, the museum will put on an exhibition of Chinese arts and crafts before the Spring Festival and over 70% of the area of the museum will be open to the public, up from the current 40%.
In addition, a festival featuring lanterns from Beijing as well as Zhejiang, Fujian, and Anhui provinces will be held at the museum.
