Aesthetic education project brings traditional Chinese culture to children in Daliangshan region

The China Soong Ching Ling Foundation's (CSCLF) Jinfengtai Science and Art Fund organized art classes for the third time at Kela Primary School in the Daliangshan region of Sichuan province from March 19 to 23. The classes included courses such as "Art Teaching," "Music Theory of Guqin," "Yi Ethnic Art," and "Photography." Over 120 local teachers and students participated in the courses and had the opportunity to gain an understanding of traditional Chinese culture.
The students gained knowledge about the guqin, studied its music, and sang songs, experiencing the joy and tranquility that the guqin brings.
Zhu Jianhua, the principal of Laka Elementary School, expressed his gratitude towards the CSCLF for the support to the school. He said that the dedicated and expert teaching of the instructors would motivate the teachers at Laka Elementary School to adopt better teaching practices, enable the students to grasp the power of art, and apply it to their daily lives and studies.
