Twenty years after the release of the crime classic Infernal Affairs, Hong Kong film icons Andy Lau and Tony Leung are set to reunite on the big screen in their highly anticipated new movie, The Goldfinger.

Scheduled for simultaneous worldwide release on Dec 30, the film will open in a string of foreign markets including Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, New Zealand, the United States, and Canada, in addition to the domestic market.

Written and directed by Hong Kong filmmaker Felix Chong, The Goldfinger tells the story of an Independent Commission Against Corruption agent engaged in a 15-year investigation into the founder of a former business behemoth. After the company suddenly collapses, it not only creates turmoil in the stock market, but is also suspected of being involved in several murders in the city's upper class.

The stellar cast also features singer-actress Charlene Choi, veteran actor Alex Fong, and Carlos Chan.

During earlier promotional events, the producers revealed that the movie had a budget of 350 million HK dollars ($44.6 million), making it one of the most expensive films produced in the history of Hong Kong cinema.
