The 5th International Daoism Forum concluded on Monday on the famous Daoist mountain of Maoshan in east China's Jiangsu Province.

A declaration was issued at the event's closing ceremony, calling for efforts from the Daoist community to build a community with a shared future for humanity and safeguard world peace.

During the forum, the attendees held discussions on the wisdom of Daoism and explored the contemporary value of the religion, in a bid to contribute Daoist wisdom to the building of a community with a shared future for humanity.

Themed "Revering the Dao and Upholding Virtue, Moving Forward with the World," the two-day event attracted more than 500 representatives, experts and scholars from 39 countries and regions.
