A modern performing center which boasts 1,600 integrated theatres, 1,000 medium-sized theaters, and 400 small theaters, is constructed for the performances of original musicals, plays, child plays, song-and-dance, operas, crosstalks, acrobatics, magic and concerts.

Lost folk arts center to return and get upgrade

The site of a modern performing center in the Tianqiao area. The Tiaoqiao performing zone project was launched in 2011. 


The center has established a strategic partnership with 22 nationally-known theaters and troupes such as the National Centre for the Performing Arts. Beijing University of Technology is responsible for the overall planning of the construction of the Tianqiao performing zone, SOM from the United States for its conceptual planning and China IPPR International Engineering Corporation for its urban design planning.
