The Macworld|iWorld Asia 2014, a grand event for iFans, is to open in Beijing on August 21.

Macworld|iWorld Asia, the fourth of its kind, is known as the biggest exhibition of the Apple industry chain in Asia. A carnival for Apple products and their peripherals, it showcases the latest products and technologies in the consumer electronics industry.

The exhibition, to be held at the China National Convention Center, will run for four days until August 24. Hundreds of exhibitors from around the world are expected to display their latest gadgets and innovations.

The event, themed "Innovation defines the future" this year, was launched by the Beijing Investment Promotion Bureau and International Data Group (IDG) in 2011.

Macworld|iWorld was initiated by IDG in 1985.
