Nearly 1,000 tourists participated in the snow carnival in Beijing's Taoranting Park on Feb. 8. While they enjoyed the sports, most of them signed up to give their blessing to Beijing's bid for the Winter Olympic Games.

A signature campaign was held in the park on Feb. 8 to encourage citizens sign up for Beijing's bid for the Winter Olympic games.

Little children who could not write drew snowflakes and stars on the bid poster. Park volunteers also handed out badges with the words "helping Beijing bid for the Winter Olympics" on them.

According to statistics from Beijing's Parks Management Center, the snow resorts in Beijing's parks attract about 10,000 people per day. So far, nearly 300,000 people have enjoyed snow activities, and millions of people have signed up for the bid.
