The picking season of big peaches in Pinggu District of Beijing has begunthis week.

The picking season of big peaches in Pinggu District of Beijing has begun this week.

Pinggu's big peaches can be classified into four big series that cover over 200 kinds; they are white peaches, flat peaches, nectarines, and yellow peaches.

The picking season will last for four months. There will be ripe peaches featuring different kinds in each month until October. Citizens can pick the fully ripe peaches from the peach orchard of Pinggu that covers an area of 220,000 mus (about 14,674 hectares).
